Void / Gaze explores the tension between visibility, isolation, and the desire for connection through a series of site-specific performances. Centered around a simple act, meeting one's own gaze in a mirror, the performer uses this gesture to anchor the body within public space while remaining internally focused.
The work blurs the boundary between performer and environment, inviting viewers to negotiate their own proximity, presence, and role in the unfolding moment. The mirrored gaze becomes both a shield and a portal, reflecting themes of solitude, estrangement, and the limits of human intimacy. By sustaining eye contact with the self, the performance examines how presence is held, witnessed, and ultimately transformed through stillness and repetition.
