The Long Goodbye is a durational performance and installation exploring grieving and acceptance alongside natural disasters beyond an anthropocentric timeline. It juxtaposes a personal narrative of loss over an estranged brother with the looming threat of super tsunamis caused by the Juan de Fuca fault line, challenging ideas about hierarchies within the mourning process.

The live body exists alongside ephemeral elements that shape the narrative tone. Interwoven with live greenscreen projection, video, and photo sculpture centered on the performer’s image, the piece confronts the illusion of time and expresses a desire to pause or alter its course.
