HAG explores an archetype that persists in folklore across cultures, which is regarded with a complex mix of fear and reverence. Narrowing towards a “feminine other” occupying a liminal space between silence and invocation. Through layered sound, choreography, and performative sequences, I conjure a sensory world where rituals become narrative – a space for haunting, unearthing, and listening.
This work borrows from the textures of folk horror cinema. Tape loops, bells, and bowed or struck cymbals are employed to evoke rhythmic incantations and metallic resonance, grounding the work in a tactile, ritualistic soundscape.
